Hello folks! Recently i just attend Yale SOM reception at FEUI. There are some important information that you might be interested in. Here we go :

Q : What is the average score of GMAT and TOEFL for Yale SOM ?
A : Yale SOM doesn't have minimum requirement for GMAT, but on average the GMAT score of previous applicants were 717, while the minimum TOEFL score of 100 (iBT)

Q : How many entry selection process that we have to passed?
A : Yale SOM has 3 selection stages : Document stage, which consist of GMAT and TOEFL; Working Experience stage, which consist of applicant's previous working experience, and interview section.

Q : How much is the tuition fee?
A : It cost about $52,000/year

Q : What makes Yale SOM different than others?
A : (It doesn't represent Yale SOM, it just based on my point of view as an audience) Yale SOM had a unique curricula which emphasize on eight key element of business rather than the older four pillar of traditional management had. It based on real world process, and try to fulfill market demand. It also emphasizing on case study, not common case study, but raw case study, that develop student analytical skills, as well as reading comprehension skills.

Q : Does Yale providing scholarship?
A : Nope, but it provide some sort of student loans, and the amount that you can borrow depends on the application form that you have to fill in the admission process.

Q : How is the ratio of acceptance?
A : According to 2011 data, only 17% from all applicant are accepted.

Q : Where is the campus?
A : Yale SOM located in New Haven CT, two hours far (by train) from NY.

Q :  What program that it offers?
A : Yale only offer general management program, yet, you might take some advanced courses on finance/marketing/operation/another faculties.

Q : Does applicant's previous background matters on the admission process?
A : Yes, in terms of years of working, and what applicants had done. All majors may enroll.
